From the point of view of the teacher ICT offers a huge amount of material to work in class: grammar or vocabulary exercises, interviews, articles, films, cartoons, pictures to motivate conversation, etc. Teachers can be in touch with colleagues to support themselves, share experiences… In short, to break the loneliness that sometimes the teacher has.
For the pupils, ICT provides information about all kind of themes for their projects, possibility of chats, communication in general, interactive games (or other free software), songs, etc.
During lots of years the only tools the teachers could use were books, dictionaries… in general printed materials. ICT has opened to teachers an incredible `window´ to the world. With them teachers can improve their teaching, their classes can be more dynamic and diverse, more motivating. They can also recycle themselves to be up to date.
For children, as they are immersed in the technological world, ICT are easy, natural and motivating for them. They can work by themselves (although ICT will never replace the work of teachers, the communication between classmates and with the teacher). Using these technologies children can be in contact with `real English´ watching videos, listening to music, etc.
